Auricular & Bioenergetic Medicine is a precise diagnostic and therapeutic system developed in mid‑century France by Dr. Paul Nogier and Dr. Jacques Ménétrier. It uses the ear as a detailed somatotopic map of the body — every organ, structure, and system corresponds to a specific auricular point.
When practiced well, the work reveals patterns that conventional diagnostics miss. Amanda is among a very small number of Canadian clinicians trained directly in this lineage by Dr. Mikhael and Dr. Alison Adams.

Is this acupuncture?
Related but distinct. Acupuncture as practised in TCM uses a different theoretical framework. Auricular medicine in the Nogier/Ménétrier tradition is a European medical discipline with its own diagnostic and therapeutic system, focused on the ear as a somatotopic map.
Does it hurt?
No. The assessment is gentle and surface‑level. Most clients describe it as soothing.
What conditions does it help?
The work is diagnostic before it is therapeutic. It reveals what is dysregulated, and from there the appropriate intervention follows — sometimes within the same modality, sometimes referring out, often combined with biotherapeutic drainage or other clinic work.
How soon will I feel a result?
Some clients feel a noticeable shift the same day. Others find changes accrue over the following weeks as the apothecary protocol takes effect. We re‑assess at follow-up visits.
Is this covered by insurance?
Coverage varies. Receipts are issued in a form most extended-health plans accept for naturopathic / homeopathic services. Please verify with your provider.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Come hydrated, with a list of current medications and supplements, and any recent labs you’d like to share. Otherwise — arrive as you are.
